Monday thru Friday - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
The SCJTL Competition Squad Weekend Team Training Program
Levels: Tennis team
members and prospective members.
SCJTL White Division
Middle School (MS) & Jr.Varsity (JV)- Grades 6 thru 9
SCJTL Blue Division
Varsity (V)- Grades 9 thru 12
Players will be evaluated and placed on level based groups once camp
starts.

3 hour training Monday thru Friday
encompassing all of the skills and knowledge that a school
tennis team player needs to reach the next level.
Designed to help middle school and high school tennis
players (grades 7 through 12) develop a well rounded game
that they can use to improve their success in match play
during their competitive season. |
Training includes emphasis on:
Ground strokes.
Net-game and Serve/Return
Offensive,
Defensive and Neutral shots.
Transition and point ending shots
Singles Strategy
Doubles Strategy
Proper practice and warm-up technique
Rules of tennis
Equipment care
Sportsmanship
Coach supervised match play.
Training sessions include team tennis match play.

Registration will be Limited. Once closed no expceptions will be
made.
Registration is available for single or multiple sessions.

Northport School District Residents
SCJTL Summer League, Comp Squad & Summer Tennis Academy 2008
registered players
$160 for 1 week
$300 for 2 wks - $450 for 3 wks = $150 / wk
Non Northport Residents or SCJTL program players.
$185.00 for 1 week
$350 for 2 wks - $525 for 3 wks = $175 / wk |

3 weekly sessions!
#1: August 4 - 8
#2: August 11 - 16
#3: August 18 - 22

Registered players receive one(1) free SCJTL shirt for each session registered!
Limited Openings
Registration is Limited.
Once closed no exceptions will be made.
Weather Cancellations and Make-up policy
NO make-ups for 1 rain date.
For more 2 or more weather cancellations, time may be added to
remaining sessions.
Allowance should be
made for late starts due to playability of tennis courts.

Jimmy Delevante
Received a scholarship to play tennis for Queens College
varsity men’s tennis team. The Queen’s College Knights
achieved a school-best ranking of #34 in the country. Jimmy
currently works at Sportime in Kings Park as a full time
tennis professional.
Jimmy is a USPTA Certified Pro 2 Teaching Professional, SCJTL Player Development Coach, Assistant
Director at the SCJTL Tennis Academy at Stony Brook
University and SCJTL Northport Site Director.

Delevante is also a member of the new USTA Suffolk County
District Board

Andrew Hart
Was an All-State
player in high school ... went undefeated in singles (49-0)
his sophomore and junior seasons at Longwood High ...
two-time Suffolk County singles champion ... ranked as high
as #152 in the 2003 USTA under-18 rankings
Andrew played in
the the first SCJTL Summer League program (1997) when he was
younger and a SCJTL staff member since 2003.
He has been the Mt. Sinai Site Director since 2007 and is an
Assistant Director at the SCJTL Summer Tennis Academy at
Stony Brook and SCJTL Player Development Coach.
