The USTA Training Center in Boca Raton, FL, hosted its first QuickStart Tennis event on Nov. 14, 2009, with players 10-and-under from Jupiter, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Lighthouse Point.

A New CTA in Virginia Focuses Just on QuickStart Tennis

http://www.tennisindustry.org/clk.cfm?id=238566&rd03=1&mid=11772&track=1&flag=GrowingTennis.com%20December%202009%20Newsletter&groupstats=11767&rd04=http://www.GrowingTennis.com/News/Newsletters/November09/QSTVA.jpgQuickStart Tennis of Central Virginia (QCV) is taking the USTA's new QuickStart Tennis format to 21 underserved counties in central Virginia in which there is no significant public tennis tradition. QCV intends to change that. Building on QuickStart's success in Charlottesville/Albemarle and six nearby counties, they plan to go where no tennis ball has gone before. QCV is an all-volunteer, grassroots Community Tennis Association (CTA) dedicated to promoting, developing and growing QuickStart Tennis in central Virginia. Unlike most CTAs, which focus on a limited local area and offer a wide variety of established USTA programs, we are targeting a wide area with a concentrated goal of introducing the new QuickStart Tennis format.
