About the SCJTL Summer
Tennis League
The
SCJTL Summer
Tennis League
an inclusive “playing” experience for all junior tennis
participants.
Since 1997 the
SCJTL
Summer Tennis League
has
offered all participants the opportunity to play on teams on a league
that emphasizes fun, fitness and friends. The SCJTL Tennis Summer League
has generated more school tennis team players than any tennis
program in Suffolk Country!
SCJTL teams are organized to
match players of similar age and ability. Rules are made flexible to
accommodate age and level abilities. Team scoring systems are
designed to count everyone’s effort. All activities are
supervised by a trained and highly motivated staff of Site
Directors, Assistant Site Directors and Site Assistants many of whom
currently play or have played in SCJTL programs.
SCJTL Quick Start Tennis
Green and Red Divisions
Kids ages 4 through 10 can now learn to play and compete the fun and
fast way using QuickStart
Tennis and modified Game Based formats. Using Quick Start Tennis
transition tennis court format and tennis balls makes tennis scaled
to age and skill level.
SCJTL Summer League players may also
purchase Wilson US Open Tennis racquets along with program enrollment and receive them on
their first day of the program.
(Click
here to visit the SCJTL Equipment Site).
The right format with the right equipment will
give all kids a chance to learn tennis easier and fun!
The SCJTL Summer Tennis League tennis team format provides every tennis
player
the thrill of being part of a team just like the big kids.
SCJTL School

their peers. New players learn using Games Based and skill building

School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity tennis teams from all over
Suffolk County.

format includes singles and doubles using modified scoring systems
as well
Game Based tactical skill building games.
Including the nationally recognized Top 10 Games. Players
work on match play skills and experience by playing tennis matches
against members of school tennis teams from all over Suffolk
