About Ranking Points

Based on points generated from SCJTL Challenge Series tournament
events.
-
Indicate player participation and match play results.
1. Ranking points
a. Total of Singles and Doubles points earned from Challenge Series
(CS) competition and tournaments.
b. Ranking points conditions
i. Must be registered SCJTL player in current program period
ii. Ranking points generated count if p[layers meet program
conditions:
1. Comp Squad JTT and TTT
a. Must register for at least one additional training session aside
from tournament session for rps to be posted.
2. Summer League
a. Must attend sessions aside from ladder challenge sessions
b. Must attend the Challenge in order to
3. CTC
c. Singles
i. All rankings based on single points from Challenge Series
(CS) matches - accumulated points
ii. Placement points
1. Placement ( Top 3 1st, 2nd, 3rd)
will generate designated placement points that are added to CS
accumulated points
a. 1st pl = 9 pts
b. 2nd = 6 pts
c. 3rd = 3 pts
iii. CS matches using games:
1. Each game won = 4 points
d. Doubles
i. CS rotational doubles -
1. Players team up with different partners
2. Players share points (team earns 8 pts = each player gets 8 pts).
3. CS -all matches to even # of points
a. 8 point games
ii. CS Doubles teams -
1. Compete as set teams
2. Players share points ( team earns 8 pts = each player gets 8 pts)
2. Program ranking:
a. Shown in Family Tennis Web Site Player info as: (To be
developed.)
i. Level: Blue
ii. Base Site: East Islip
iii. Age Group: 18 ( or 14)
iv. Site Rank: 12
v. SCJTL Ranking: 25
b. Ranking including all players in SCJTL Challenge series
c. Site rp conversion to Program rp:
i. Player enters one Challenge Series tournament (program or
single site event)
ii. Site rp will be applied to CS rankings earned from event.
1. Keep Site rp’s
d. Challenge Series tournament for program rankings -
i. Single site programs
1. Competition Squad JTT winter team tournaments
2. Indian Summer League at one site
ii. Scheduled Challenge Series tournament
3. Site Ranking:
a. Ranking based on players from individual site designated by site
registration in the following order:
i. Summer League ,
ii. Comp Squad TTT
iii. CTC
iv. High Performance
b. Site designation conditions:
i. This is the only program site registered.
ii. Each site will have points weight
1. Summer League = 1: 1 point
2. Comp Squad = 1:2 pts
3. CTC = x1:3 pts
iii. Examples:
1. JA at Mt. Sinai
a. Earns:
i. Summer League =15 pts from ladder x 1 = 15
ii. Comp Squad = 6 pts x 2 = 12
iii. CTC = 3 pts x 3 = 9
iv. Total site ranking points = 36 rp (MS Site Ranking)
c. Challenge series tournaments for site ranking -
i. Multiple site programs
1. Summer League
2. Comp Squad Tennis Team Training
4. Division Ranking:
a. To be developed as first year of new system progresses. Players will
then be categorized in proper division and age group.
b. White Division
i. 14 + under
ii. 10 + under
c. Blue Division
i. 18 + under
ii. 14 + under
d. Players may play cross division matches if designated by program.
i. Possible during single site programs
ii. Ranking points apply to current player division ranking
iii. White Division player ranking points against Blue Division
players-
1. Count as single point during CS tournament
2. Doubled for White Division ranking
3. White Division players placing among Blue Division players will be
moved up to Blue Division. |
