January 10, 2005: SCJTL  Executive Director Joe Arias named Chairman of the USTA Eastern Section Collegiate Tennis Committee.

SCJTL Founder and Executive Director Joe Arias has been named Chairman of the new USTA Eastern Section Collegiate Tennis Committee. The committee will address issues concerning college tennis advocacy, college tennis on campus programs, middle and high school collegiate tennis education and resources. The CTC will consist of  High School and College Coaches, University Administration as well as members of the tennis industry focusing on school tennis. The CTC will work with USTA Eastern Section staff to develop a comprehensive approach to the school tennis experience with the goal of bridging the pathway from elementary to collegiate tennis and provide assistance to collegiate tennis programs through USTA and community resources.
